Is my organization qualifed to apply for a Snook Foundation Grant?

 

In order to qualify for funding from The Snook Foundation, and before submitting a grant application, organizations MUST meet the following criteria with NO exceptions:

The Snook Foundation does NOT fund individuals, only organizations may apply for a Snook Grant. The applying organizations must be located in, and/or serve residents in the following area. You must also show how the funding to your organization will directly impact individuals in this area:

South Baldwin County in the state of Alabama, in the area encompassed by:

Loxley and Stapleton to the North

Gulf Shores and Orange Beach to the South

Styx River, Seminole, Elberta, Miflin and Lillian to the East

Fish River, Marlow, Summerdale, Magnolia Springs and Bon Secour to the West.


 

To be considered for funding by The Snook Foundation, applying organizations must have obtained a 501(c) determination letter from the Internal Revenue Service. The determination letter must specify your organization's current 501(c) classification under IRS guidelines and be submitted to The Snook Foundation for our records.

Charitable contributions to governmental units are tax deductible under section 170(c)(1) of the Internal Revenue Code if made for a public purpose. Any governmental entities that choose to apply must provide a Federal TIN (Taxpayer Identification Number), also referred to as an EIN (Employee Identification Number), for identification purposes.
